A June Hello

We always are sending holiday and birthday wishes but sometimes the best wish to send it a surprise wish just to say Hello. Today's card is all about that unexpected wish to send to a friend in the good ol' summertime.

What makes this card special is the summer colors and the layering I did.

The paper used is from Echo Park's 6 x 6 paper pad: For the Record 2 by Lori Whitlock

The circle cut out in the top left corner and the fancy cut out in the lower left corner were made with Cuddlebug 5 x 7 Embossing Plus-Embossed Tags folder

Used for the touch of green on the yellow cut out was Tim Holz Ranger Distress Ink in peacock feathers.

Roses were spritzed with Perfect Pearls Mist in Sunflower Sparkle

Glue to hold it all together - Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive

Enjoy your June and I'll see you back here with some July fun for Cutters Creek On Line Store.

Thanksgiving Card by Jearise

Hello all my Cutter's Creek friends. I am getting into the Thanksgiving spirit even though I feel Halloween came and went to fast and I still have lots of Halloween ideas running through my head. I love sending out Thanksgiving cards to friends and family and that is what I would like to show you today.

All the paper is from the 6 x 6 paper pad from Remembrance by Authentique. You can inquire to Kim if you are interested in it. It's beautiful paper and lovely for cards.

I also used:

Stickles in Diamonds for the middle of the flowers and the border in the middle of the card.
Glimmer Mist in graphite metallic for the flowers to tone down the yellow and give them an aged look.
Cuddle Bug embossing folder for the embossed design.
Tim Holz Distress ink in ted dye color for the edges.
ATG glider to hold it all together.

Thank you for stopping by today and taking a peak at my Thanksgiving card. I really do appreciate it.

More HOPE and breast cancer awareness by Jearise

It's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and that is why my projects have included the famous pink associated with breast cancer.

When breast cancer is detected early, in the localized stage, the 5-year survival rate is 98%*

*From the National Cancer Institute

That's why it's so important to get your yearly mammogram. Remember: breast cancer doesn't discriminate!

I have had my own scare with breast cancer and was thankful that it only turned out be cysts but I know of many other women who got the sad news that their lumps were breast cancer. The good news is, because their cancer was detected early, these women are breast cancer free now or going through treatment with promising outlooks when finished.

I made a card last week that I designed and I made another card for today's project but this card wasn't designed by me. I was going through my piles of stickers and such and came across some beautiful breast cancer stickers that were sent to me last year. One of these stickers was the word HOPE so I had to use it as part of my project.
Please click on the card to see the embossed scroll work at the top

This is a 6 x 6 card.

Products used:

Perfect Pearls Mist on the solid pink background to give some shimmer

Cuddlebug Embossing Folder ORGANIC for the design on the top of the pink part of the card

Stickles in cotton candy and waterfall on the heart and in waterfall on the design under the word "HOPE"

Distress Ink from Ranger in FRAYED BURLAP to give an old look to the flowered background

My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 paper pad THE SWEETEST THING for the flowered background (Contact Kim since this paper pad is one of her specials from her 6 x 6 paper pad club)

ATG adhesive tape to hold it all together

Thank you so much for stopping by today and remember to get your mammogram!

Christmas Card by Jearise

I know Christmas is still a few months away but I figured if I start making cards now, I might have them done in time this year. I usually put it off and then end up having to go buy cards or sending them out the first of the new year.

As you can see, I used non traditional colors for this card.

Items from Cutter's Creek Store:
purple Stickles glitter glue for my star

Perfect Pearls Mists in Kiwi for the background
Provocraft Cuddebug Embossing folder - Swiss Dots also for background

Authentique 6 x 6 paper pad - Renew used for yellow background (part of the 6 x 6 paper pad club so email Kim if interested)
Tim Holtz Distress ink pad - Frayed Burlap used to soften the yellow background paper
Inkssentials Ink Blending Foam 10/Pkg  used to dispense distress ink on background

ATG used to put the card together

Thanks for stopping by today.
