The card base is a “standard” 5 ½ by 4 ¼” in a soft blue. The brown is 5 ½ by 3”. The next piece is Core’dinations Chocolate Box in soft blue. It is embossed with the Moroccan A2 folder, and trimmed to 2 & 1/8 by 5 ¼” and lightly sanded to “pop” the design. The next 3 layers are cut with Spellbinders labels 9, out of gorgeous American Crafts glitter paper (Ocean), brown cardstock, and the sentiment on white in brown ink (printed on computer). I inked all pieces (except embossed and glittered) in brown chalk ink, then assembled using the Glue Glider, Pop Dots, and foam squares to pop up the “Happy Birthday to You” piece.
The finishing touches--Petaloo Flora Doodles (LOVE these!!) and a bow (the bling is a Flora Doodle center). The altered Making Memories jar is made almost the same, the soft blue piece is 9 ½ by 3” and the brown is 9 ½ by 2 ½”. The band only goes around the front and side of the jar. I added a strip of the paper and! some extra bling to the lid for fun, but you can leave it plain, too. This is an awesome matching gift set for anyone….and it can easily become a “Thank You”, “I Love You”, or “Just Because”! These altered Making Memories jars make great gifts! Who doesn’t love a jar filled with goodies??
