Hearts Caught by Jearise

Today I am showcasing a card I made using a few different cartridges and my Cricut machine. The card is for Valentine's Day but I got creative with the background and welded some different kinds of hearts together so the hearts are different sized and inside a square on one side and a circle on the other.

 Products from Cutters Creek:

Stickles - Color: Grape Ice for the word love and the hearts at the bottom of the card
ATG tape
Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive
Glue Dots

More HOPE and breast cancer awareness by Jearise

It's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and that is why my projects have included the famous pink associated with breast cancer.

When breast cancer is detected early, in the localized stage, the 5-year survival rate is 98%*

*From the National Cancer Institute

That's why it's so important to get your yearly mammogram. Remember: breast cancer doesn't discriminate!

I have had my own scare with breast cancer and was thankful that it only turned out be cysts but I know of many other women who got the sad news that their lumps were breast cancer. The good news is, because their cancer was detected early, these women are breast cancer free now or going through treatment with promising outlooks when finished.

I made a card last week that I designed and I made another card for today's project but this card wasn't designed by me. I was going through my piles of stickers and such and came across some beautiful breast cancer stickers that were sent to me last year. One of these stickers was the word HOPE so I had to use it as part of my project.
Please click on the card to see the embossed scroll work at the top

This is a 6 x 6 card.

Products used:

Perfect Pearls Mist on the solid pink background to give some shimmer

Cuddlebug Embossing Folder ORGANIC for the design on the top of the pink part of the card

Stickles in cotton candy and waterfall on the heart and in waterfall on the design under the word "HOPE"

Distress Ink from Ranger in FRAYED BURLAP to give an old look to the flowered background

My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 paper pad THE SWEETEST THING for the flowered background (Contact Kim since this paper pad is one of her specials from her 6 x 6 paper pad club)

ATG adhesive tape to hold it all together

Thank you so much for stopping by today and remember to get your mammogram!

Halloween Decor Graphic 45 Style

I found these cute little canvas's and easels at a local craft store and just had to get them. I painted the easels and the canvas with some black acrylic paint. I then used the Graphic 45 Happy Haunting's Paper Pad for my images. I cut around part of the image and used some Matte Inkssentials Glue N Seal to seal my canvas and adhere my image. Then it was time to decorate.

For the square canvas I made some roses using a tutorial found here. I adhered them to the canvas with some hot blue and added some Diamond Ice Stickles to the edges of the flower petals. Then I added a couple of Rhinestone flourishes. I then embossed the edges of the canvas with some Black Glint WOW! Glitter Embossing Powder.

For the other canvas I again used the Matte Inkssentials Glue N Seal to seal my canvas and adhere my image. For this one I also made a rose and used some Stardust Stickles along the edges of the petals. I had some black tulle with some purple glitter in it and that cut and gathered to put behind the rose. I used some Majestic Purple Liquid Pearls to add some dimension to the canvas. I then outlined the edges of the canvas with some Black Diamond Stickles.

M-Bossibilities Tutorial by Deanna M

I just received a couple of the M-Bossiblities by Spellbinder and of course had to try them out and wanted to share how fun these are.
Splendid and Simplicity M-Bossiblities

I embossed a couple of the 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" Cut and Emboss paper packs from Core'denations. What great papers, I love them and they are the perfect size for cards. Look at the great colors you get.

This card is a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" white card base. I cut a red mat 4" X 5 1/4" and my embossed white washed mat was embossed with the Splendid M-Bossibilites folder that I sanded with my sanding block. My butterfly is cut at 2.75" from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I used Elegant Edges to cut the scalloped oval and stamped my sentiment with some Festive Berries Distress Ink which was part of the Limited Edition Winter colors. Finally I finished off the butterfly with some Diamond Ice Stickles and added to my card with some clear foam squares.

Here is a short video to show you how you can use the M-Bossiblities and the Cut and Emboss paper. There are several different types of the Cut and Emboss paper I am showing you just two same with the M-Bossiblities folders. Be sure to pop on over to Cutterscreek.com to check out the assortment available through the store.
